A grassroots collision of concerned community groups and individuals in Ottawa, fuelled by anger, inspired by hope, have banned together to condemn the criminalization of HIV. While none of the groups or individuals shares an identical policy approach, they do share a common vision. It includes eradicating the stigma surrounding HIV infections, reducing the spread of HIV, and drastically reversing the legal trends towards the prosecution of HIV positive people.

Join Legalize AIDS and numerous individual supporters in raising awareness of the issues surrounding the criminalization of HIV transmission. This event will include testimonials, a theatrical demonstration, the distribution of information and materials, and speeches about the experiences of Ottawa’s HIV community dealing with experiences around criminalization.

This rally is not being organized by the AIDS Committee of Ottawa, nor is the AIDS Committee affiliated. This event has been posted to the ACO facebook group simply to alert interested people within it to the excistance of this event.
